Fat Jack`s Delicatessen in Lakeland

Went here all throughout college and still after graduation. Steve has always been an amazing server and person, still remembers me and my roommates even with all the people coming in and out. One of those rare "hole-in-the-wall" diner finds that not many cities have the pleasure of having.

This place is wonderful.The prices are fair. The waitresses are so friendly. And the food is out of this world good. I highly suggest that everyone try Fatjacks.

One of our favorite local breakfast spots. Quick service, friendly staff. Always feel like family here. Super affordable too! Delicious home cooking.

Always good when you walk in and the place is over flowing! Son and I met up for breakfast. Even with the line, service was great and the food even better. Western omelette for me, pancakes and eggs and home fries for him. Perfect little gem in Lakeland

Awwwwwe man talk about a sandwich! I recently went and had my self a French dip sandwich- I loved it. The meat was moist and easy to enjoy with the thickest a’ju I have ever seen. Keep up the good work guys.

The food was okay. Prices good. Service nice. Decor not my cup of tea. Seems popular, but doubt we will go back. Overstuffed sandwiches are definitely overstuffed and well worth the reasonable price. It's just for us it wasn't good enough to go out of our way to return.

Open faced roast beef tasted like salt, canned gravy and soggy bread

Waitress was a bit rude, dingy and food was alright but it was cozy and intimate with a homey feel.

Fat Jacks has been serving up fantastic food since the early 60's. They've just opened up inside seating again (booths only) Just had my favorite - the best Reuben in town!!

Great food at great prices! This is truly a Lakeland gem. From the hospitable servers, to the cozy atmosphere, this is by far one of the best diners in the county! This place is usually pretty packed, but that’s a good thing! I would recommend this to anyone who wants that old-town diner feel. Fat Jack’s is the whole package if that’s what you’re looking for!

Good whole in the wall, home town Lakeland feel. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Very reasonable pricing for what you get. My husband likes it alot.

Best Pastrami sandwich around, and they have the spicy mustard. Wish they had the real Kosher Dill pickle to go with it and some matzo Ball soup! We have also had their Hamburger and it is really good, even though my wife is not into hamburgers she loves the ones made here. On our next visit I would like them to make me a Pastrami-burger, also known as a "Guido Burger". Here's hoping.

Very nice little restaurant. Nothing fancy but the waitress was on the spot with coffee and water, took our order of breakfast for 6 of us and lunch for 2 of us. The food was fast and cooked to order, no complaints from anyone.

Place has never let me down. I've been going here for years.

Couldn’t even get a take out order correct with a simple food utensils sufficient condiments. A meal for four people I got one set of utensils and one syrup for two waffles. Then I call to let them know why they did wrong said sorry and hung up on me. I will not being going back to this restaurant again. It’s easier for you and you here making mistakes like you’re McDonald’s with staffed by kids still in high school.

I have been coming to this cute whole in the wall family diner for about 20 years now. Fast , friendly , courteous service. The waitresses are always smiling. They even sit down and talk to you ( if your that type of friendly person ;) ) Decent price as well ;)

Good big cheese burgers😌

I have been going here for close to 10 years. The food is always the same and that is the perfect reason to come here. There are some secret off menu items you will slowly discover over time. Breakfast is great but there might be no room to sit. DONT PANIC! Just stand by the front door or outside until someone leaves. Grab an open table. Never keep the door open while waiting or you will be yelled at for good reason. Get the Sloppy Jack with a side of fries. You won't regret it.

Always good food. My favorite is the corned beef combo and potato salad. Breakfast is always good too.

Really good American breakfast fun atmosphere especially with the communal seating you are forced to meet and talk to new people.

Best Deli that I have tried in Lakeland.

We had breakfast there Saturday morning with another couple at about 8 a.m. I ordered the western omelette with home fries and sausage Gravy. Rye bread toast was well buttered. My omelette was lacking veggies and was mostly tasteless. the home fries were very good. The hash browns that someone else had looked like they came from McDonalds. The bacon looked great. The coffee and our server Patty were excellent. I have heard so much good about this place and I was truly disappointed with my breakfast. I think that I will return for lunch someday and try something else. I am sure that they can do much better.

I love eating at the counter. That is where the action is. The local flavor here is cooked into every dish and man, is it delicious.

Oh Boy. Ya love to eat ? This is the place. Best sandwiches in Lakeland. An breakfast is killer.

I absolutely love this diner!  It's totally a throwback to the 1970s with all its kitsch glamour! What I especially adore is that you can get a breakfast for under $4.  My favorite is the Three Egg Special that includes three eggs; choice of toast, biscuit, or bagel; and choice of home fries, hash browns, or french fries. Fat Jack's is the epitome of cheap and cheerful. This is a place that you can frequent multiple times in the month without breaking the bank. Also, this is a locally-owned single location. Therefore, all proceeds are going to be kept mostly in the local economy supporting local businesses. I hate going to big box chain restaurants, and this place is the absolute opposite of big box. It has the family-friendly atmosphere, very outgoing waitresses, quick service, low prices, and high-flavour tasty greasy spoon food. As long as you don't have expectations of grandeur and elegance, you cannot be disappointed with Fat Jack's.

Down home local joint. Tons of regulars that you can tell have been coming here for years. Big portions good prices. The quality of the food is on par.
